Naivas Makes A Fourth Return To The Town That Nurtured Its Corporate Aspirations

Nakuru 20.04.2021, Kenya’s number one retail chain, Naivas supermarket will be opening doors of its newest outlet in Nakuru town on 23rd April 2021. The new store will be the retailers 71st store in the country and the 4th in Nakuru town. The outlet covers 30,000 square feet of trading space and is located along Kenyatta Avenue.

This is indeed a signifcant store opening for Naivas, which traces its business roots to Nakuru county. The retail chain hails from the rural town of Rongai in Nakuru which was then trading as Rongai self-service stores.

“We are making a fourth return to Nakuru, a town that has not only consistently ranked as one of the fastest growing towns in Kenya but whose support has seen the success of our other 3 branches in the locality. It is indeed a proud moment and also an afrmation of our commitment to the society as a homegrown Kenyan brand whose DNA was forged in Nakuru. Kenya desperately needs a success local supermarket story and we are saying we are it,” said Chief Commercial Ofcer, Willy Kimani.

“He added that the company was delighted at the prospect of opening a new branch at the CBD as it has been a long-standing request by shoppers which we have fnally fulflled.

The opening of this new store however comes during a very tough time as the country battles it’s third and most brutal wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
